For Dr. Thalia Mok, an OB/GYN at UCLA Health and mom of 9-month old, Joelle, getting pregnant was not an easy journey, which makes celebrating her first Mother’s Day all the more special. “Being able to see from a patient perspective how the staff and nurses take care of patients during such an emotional and important time was really amazing. It’s a great reminder of how patients entrust us with this special moment in their lives. I love how the experience of motherhood has allowed me to connect with my patients in a new and different way.”
