For Dr. Thalia Mok, an OB/GYN at UCLA Health and mom of 9-month old, Joelle, getting pregnant was not an easy journey, which makes celebrating her first Mother’s Day all the more special. “Being able to see from a patient perspective how the staff and nurses take care of patients during such an emotional and important time was really amazing. The new California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy at the UCLA Research Park aims to make LA the center of scientific innovation.
