We're excited to share insights from a pioneering study recently conducted by CHOC. The study examined the potential of quantitative pupillometry, a medical technique used to measure and analyze the size and reaction of pupils, in diagnosing #pediatric concussions. Our latest research explores how this technology might play a role in a #ClinicalSetting. While the findings indicate more research is necessary before #pupillometry can be deemed a definitive diagnostic tool, these preliminary results are promising! Read more about our study here. ⬇️

For parents with a baby in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), the expectations and dreams around parenthood can change dramatically. After spending two months in CHOC's NICU herself, Stefani Welsh deeply understands that experience. Her daughter Ellison was born last June at just 29 weeks gestation, and is now a happy, healthy, crawling 11-month-old at home. In celebration of #MothersDay this year, Stefani partnered with CHOC to ensure the moms of babies in the NICU felt extra special and celebrated. Stefani and her husband Brad teamed up to capture special mommy-baby portraits right inside their hospital room that will be a lasting memento of a special time.
