Hace unos días, Uber México anunció con orgullo el patrocinio por $25 mil dólares para Brenda Osnaya, primera mujer mexicana en competir en para triatlón en el máximo nivel internacional. As part of the 2024 White House Challenge to End Hunger and Build Healthy Communities, Albertsons Companies is teaming up with #Uber on an ambitious food rescue iniatitive. The initiative will see Albertsons Co stores deliver surplus food donations to local non-profit organizations and food banks through Uber Direct, the company’s white-label delivery solution. “After a successful pilot in the Washington, D.C. region, we’re thrilled to continue to use our technology to improve the lives of community members in Boston, Chicago and Denver,” said Julia Paige, head of global social impact at Uber. “No individual or family should ever have to experience hunger, and we’re proud to work with partners like Albertsons Cos. to help provide access to nutritious foods.” More here: https://lnkd.in/eghnVe54

We had a fantastic time hosting A11y Camp Bay Area, for the 2nd year in a row, at Uber's Mission Bay HDQ. The event brought together members of the #design and development, #usability and #accessibility communities, and end-users with disabilities to interact and learn from one another. 🤝 Sessions covered digital accessibility topics from the web, desktop software, mobile apps, eLearning, online gaming, open source innovations, and everything in between, including a networking happy hour to continue the conversation and build long lasting relationships. Dr. Sekhon is a reproductive endocrinologist and infertility specialist and board certified obstetrician and gynecologist who specializes in diagnosing and treating reproductive issues with particular expertise in fertility preservation (egg freezing), #LGBTQ family building, and in vitro fertilization with preimplantation genetic testing of embryos.
