🏳️🌈 Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex and Asexual (LGBTQIA+) Pride Month is celebrated annually in June and is a time to recognize the worldwide impact and accomplishments that LGBTQIA+ individuals have had and continue to have. 🏳️🌈 To honor this month and our people, we’re amplifying the voices of those in the LBGTQIA+ community who are growing their careers at Taco Bell. Up next, we have Region Leader at Taco Bell Corp., Lori Thompson. It’s no doubt that Lori’s professional career has been fruitful, but at the same time, she has faced many challenges... and one of her obstacles was being her authentic self and growing her career as someone who identifies as part of the LGBTQIA+ community. “I never really talked about my identity at work. It wasn’t until my Market Coach and I were at a National Restaurant General Manager conference that I came out to him. Then, I was asked if I was comfortable enough to share my story on a national call, so I did. I remember crying because it was tough to be so open with who I am. It was hard to not feel afraid of getting rejected, but it was a blessing as it opened doors for more conversations and change.” Read the full story below ⬇ #TacoBell #pridemonth #operations #region #leader #restaurant #career #identity #LGBTQIA #community #authentic #professional #personal

🏳️🌈 To honor this month and our people, we’re amplifying the voices of those in the LBGTQIA+ community who are growing their careers at Taco Bell... starting with Margaret Kertesz. After working for Pizza Hut Canada and KFC Canada (Yum! Brands Subsidiary) Margaret made her way over to Taco Bell Canada in 2016 to work in Operations. Now, as Manager of Operations, Margaret primarily supports the field a.k.a. restaurants, above restaurant leaders and franchisees. “My field-facing role revolves around making sure restaurants continue to meet the Brand standards and drive sales. At the same time, I have a corporate-facing role where I oversee the data behind the programs we take part in, such as Golden Bell. The unique thing about my job is that I get to collaborate with different departments. From being part of marketing campaigns (doing voiceovers for TikTok) to looking at new restaurant development drawings, I’m in touch with all parts of the business.” From her career journey to her personal undertakings, Margaret's story is nothing short of inspirational. Thank you to everyone who choses to Round Up. Here's to $23 million in Community Grants and breaking down barriers to education 📖 🌮
We’re thrilled to share that this year, we’re distributing nearly $23 million in Community Grants to our community partners – the largest amount in the history of the Taco Bell Foundation! Each of our partners play a role in championing youth in communities nationwide and in Canada. What’s even more remarkable is the origin of these funds: an average “round up” donation of 44 cents at check-out. The initiative is a testament to how spare change changes lives. Since 2019, the Round Up program has amassed over $150 million to aid students across the country, bolstering both our Community Grants and Live Más Scholarship efforts. This landmark achievement wouldn’t have been possible without the kindness shown by Taco Bell fans. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all who made this possible. Check out this video to witness the power your 44 cents holds. Learn more about Community Grants: https://lnkd.in/gHTeC6sF #TacoBellFoundation #CommunityGrants

We couldn't agree more, Scott Mezvinsky! Owners Forum is one of the best events of the year, bringing together Taco Bell Corp. and franchisees to chat about the future of The Bell and how we continue to build brand love with #TacoBell Team Members and Consumers. Thank you all who made this event possible: from the franchisees who attended, to the events team (Candice Stewart, Ethan Catanghal and Suzette Ford-Duffus), to the Comms team (Natalie Hochberg and Natasha Gaffoglio), to the Creative team (Christopher Selter, Vivian Tsao, Kristin MacKenzie Leishman and the whole team), to the speakers (most of which were listed below), to the Food Innovation Team (Nola Krieg and the whole team), to the Brand Content Team (Nicole Harmon, Brett Simmons and the whole team), to the entire Taco Bell Foundation team (the list would be so long here!), to our partners at FRANMAC (Lysa Little and her team) and so many more 💜 We'll be back together again in a similar setting for FRANMAC Convention in the fall, and we can't wait!
Taco Bell Corp. and 200+ franchisees got together last week in Dallas, TX for Owners Forum. This is one of my favorite times of the year, because it’s a chance for all of us to get together to talk about the future of #TacoBell and how our strong partnership will help us get there. The entire US Leadership Team (USLT) and their teams had a hand in making this possible – thank you! From the Taco Bell Foundation’s Golf Classic, to General Session, to trying new and exciting menu items, and experiencing the Tech Expo… the list goes on – it was a great, informational week. All of us are excited about CEO, Sean Tresvant’s vision to continue building brand love with Taco Bell Team Members and Consumers. Again, thank you to those of you who attended and special shout-out to the #TacoBellFoundation for raising $1M during last week’s events 👏 USLT: Kelly McCulloch, Neil Manhas ACMA MSc, Elizabeth Matthews, Julie M. 💫 As we continue to celebrate, recognize and empower Asian American Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) legacy at The Bell, we're tapping into this year’s monthly theme of “Advancing Leaders Through Innovation" with New York Area Coach, Rezaul K.'s story. Coming to America from Bangladesh in 1997, Rezaul started his career working in sales, specifically electronics and technology. After years with his previous company, he was recruited to work for Taco Bell by his current Market Coach. At first, Rezaul declined as his background in technology did not cross over to the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) industry, but after being offered the position of Assistant General Manager, Rezaul decided to give this growth opportunity a shot!
