"As a Division Quality Manager at Wendy’s, I’m responsible for food safety, food quality and regulatory compliance in 1,500 U.S. restaurants across 10 different states. Today is World Food Safety Day, but we like to say that every day is Food Safety Day at Wendy’s! One of the most important parts of my job is training restaurant teams and franchisees on the food safety practices that are embedded throughout our processes, procedures and equipment. Today, I’m the General Manager at the Company’s first Global Next Generation (GNG) restaurant in New Albany, Ohio near our Brand’s hometown of Dublin, Ohio. I love running a GNG restaurant! The new galley-style kitchen, which runs from the front to the back of the restaurant, and compact modular equipment make it easier for the crew to get into position and quickly prepare orders. And our customers tell us they love the new restaurant design. In addition to the modern, updated look, the technology in a GNG restaurant is made for the future. This includes our ground-breaking AI-powered assistant, Wendy’s FreshAI, that provides the crew with an extra hand, enabling them to focus on what matters most – serving fresh, hot Wendy’s favorites and building customer relationships. Join us in congratulating Abigail Pringle on her appointment to the newly-created role of President, U.S. and E.J. Wunsch to President, International. As President, U.S., Abigail will direct all aspects of the Wendy's U.S. business, which includes more than 6,000 Company-operated and franchised restaurants. E.J. will assume similar accountability for the Wendy's International business across 33 countries and U.S. territories.
