This month, Starbucks and the Pride Network are celebrating Pride Month, centered on the theme, "LGBTQIA2+ Joy." With courage and joy, we recognize the diverse identities, intersectionality, perspectives and lived experiences of the LGBTQIA2+ community and stand in allyship. Meet Divine (she/her), a store manager and four-year partner (employee) who is also an ambassador for the Pride Network. "Pride month to me means being who you are, accepting who you are and being proud of who you are. It’s about love, acceptance, education, and celebration. Growing up I never knew or had anyone around that understood me or could be a voice for me to turn to. I want to be that voice for all LGBTQIA2+ partners but also a voice for all the bisexual partners out there, to be able to come and turn to when they are in need. This is a safe space and I want to grow this space and share it with as many people as possible." At Starbucks, we are at our best when we care for one another, celebrate our diverse life experiences and create welcoming environments where everyone belongs. #ToBeOurPartner #PrideMonth

“I wouldn’t be where I am today if I never joined Starbucks,” said Starbucks Alumni Community member, Mia. “I was new to America, navigating language and cultural barriers. Starbucks provided the platform for me to integrate into this country.” Mia is now working at an investment management company while she completes her master’s degree. “I honed my communication skills, learned to lead a team in stressful situations, how to make people around me feel appreciated, and how to be self-motivated… More than that, I learned the importance of a strong company culture and a mission that goes beyond just making money.” At Starbucks, we believe in helping each other grow in our careers and as humans. This month, Starbucks and the Starbucks Armed Forces Network recognize Military Appreciation Month, centered on the theme "Honoring You", bringing us together to express our highest respect and gratitude for service members, Veterans, their spouses and their families. Meet Gilian, an eight-year partner (employee) and two-year member of the Armed Forces Network (AFN), a partner network at Starbucks. "As a military spouse, AFN means so much to me. When I learned about how this Partner Network supports the military community and the impact it has, I knew that I would love to be a part of it and give back to our community. This partner network helped me and my store connect with military families and civilians in our community. It's ignited my passion serving our military community, [such as] providing information and resources for military families and spouses who just moved in the area and hosting events for important dates such as Memorial Day, Veteran’s Day, Military Child Month and Military Spouse Appreciation Day. It brings my store, my team and myself closer to our local military community and it brings me so much joy and honor to be a PNW AFN ambassador." At Starbucks, we are at our best when we care for one another, celebrate our diverse life experiences and create welcoming environments where everyone belongs. #ToBeOurPartner #MilitaryAppreciationMonth

This month, Starbucks, Pan-Asian Partner Network and India Partner Network are celebrating Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, focused on the theme “The Power of Belonging and Sharing our Cultural Values". Meet Aman, a two-and-a-half-year partner and store manager who joined the India Partner Network earlier this year. “I’m really interested in Partner Networks and how we can make an impact and help our communities. The Indian culture is so rich, and I love to share my personal experiences with others. Every culture is so different and [Partner Networks bring partners together] to work with each other and learn something from every community. We are all human and if you have positive energy, you’re going to uplift the people around you. Since my first day as a partner, I felt like I belonged, and I always want to give that back to my partners and community.” At Starbucks, we are at our best when we care for one another, celebrate our diverse life experiences and create welcoming environments where everyone belongs. #ToBeOurPartner
