Fast forward to today, I find myself at Starbucks nearly every day, not as a splurge, but as my workspace. Reflecting on this journey, I realise how much has changed, yet the core remains constant: Motivation. Starbucks India no longer motivates me to save up for occasional treats; instead, it fuels my drive to work harder every single day. It's not just about the coffee anymore; it's about the journey. It's about striving to better myself, to reach a point where what was once a luxury can become a part of my everyday life. A day starts best with a cup of tea or coffee. For me, its a strong cup of coffee which makes up my day. I was thinking this when I was allotted an assignment to make a report on a Food & Beverage Industry Company. I was assigned specifically to work on how the Social Factors affects that company in Indian Market as well as in the Global Market. Grabbing this opportunity, I chose Starbucks to work upon and found out how Starbucks has tackled the Social Factors affecting it with such Innovative solutions and has stayed adamant in the market and evolved to stay relevant. Today I would like to share the incident that happened to me . I was doing my regular task. I was standing at the hands - off and connecting beverages and food with the customer. Suddenly one of our new customers came and said he didn't like the beverage, I'm not getting the perfect taste of my regular drink and he asked me to fix it. As I saw him while giving the order to my Barista he wanted the espresso frappuccino with less sugar I made it as per the instructions. But he didn't like it, so I made it by my way. Then he really appreciated me for that and really loved it 😍 . This whole scenario was observing one of the customers which was just away from hands off and waiting for his order. He suddenly came and took my permission to ask the question that , he said " I'm curious to know that STARBUCKS hire only happy people or only happy people are allowed to work here? Does it fit in your criteria to join the organisation?" , I was amused 😂 and we laughed louder together. " Then , I was just shocked that I never expected that kind of question. I paused for a while thinking about what makes me feel happy to be a "PARTNER"here? Then I replied to him that I love to work here because people, my colleagues are always nice to me. And I like the work culture here. But before that , it completely depends on us, that is how we treat everyone in society and the workplace. In this fast era everyone has personal problems, struggles and tensions of many things. So I think the problems will come and go why we are sacrificing our little happiness. Tata Starbucks India has recorded a revenue of Rs 10.87 Billion in the financial year 2023, up 71% from the previous year. This impressive growth was achieved through a combination of strategic marketing tactics and expansion efforts. One of the key factors that contributed to Tata Starbucks' success was the addition of 71 new outlets in FY23, including 22 new outlets in the fourth quarter of FY23. The coffee major also entered 15 new cities during the entire year, which is “the highest-ever annual store addition”. Another important factor was the company's loyalty program, My Starbucks Rewards, which crossed 2.3 million, a 100% growth on-year.
