At Pinterest, we’re committed to creating an inspirational and positive online experience for everyone, especially young people. Gen Z represents nearly half of Pinterest’s monthly users and supporting and safeguarding the mental health of young people both online and offline is important to us. Today, we're honored to announce the launch of the Youth Mental Health Corps - a public-private collaboration between Pinterest, Schultz Family Foundation and AmeriCorps to recruit and train young adults to serve as teen mental health navigators in schools and communities across the US. During their service, members will have the opportunity to earn credentials to continue their journey into a mental health career path. The pilot will kickoff this year in 11 states and the application for those interested in becoming a Youth Mental Health Corps member is now open at https://lnkd.in/d2uQm3SJ We’re proud to be a founding partner of the nation’s first #YouthMentalHealthCorps, and encourage others to join us! #MentalHealthIsHealth Axios

At Pinterest, we strive to create an inclusive product that brings inspiration to everyone. Creating accessible designs and components is an essential part of achieving that mission, every day of the year. This Global Accessibility Awareness Day, we’re reflecting on the importance of remembering that accessible components are a great starting point, but there is further work to do to create a cohesive, accessible experience — and it requires the entire team’s commitment to accessibility. A starting point for our team is the accessibility documentation on Gestalt, our design system. Check it out here: https://lnkd.in/e-z28X3N

Today, we rang the NYSE bell to mark Pinterest’s five year anniversary as a public company. We haven’t just come a long way since our IPO – we’ve worked to transform the online landscape since our founding fourteen years ago. As a personal space where you can visualize your future, save your favorite ideas and shop what you see, we are helping Pinterest users bring their dreams to life in a positive and uplifting environment. Thank you to our amazing team at Pinterest for making this journey possible. We are in a new era at Pinterest: building an inclusive place on the internet for over half a billion users around the world each month. 📌

Pinterest’s Chief Product Officer, Sabrina Ellis, took the stage last week at OMR to share our mission to build technology that creates a more positive, inclusive place online and how we’re using cutting-edge AI to do it. Key takeaways ✍️ 📌 People should remain at the heart of everything: Instead of thinking about what parts of our lives AI can make faster, cheaper and more productive, shift that focus and consider how it can be used to help improve your users’ experiences. 📌 Combine a human element with AI technology: Build an online environment that reflects the diversity of your community — a place where everyone can feel represented. For example, we’ve introduced inclusive tools such as skin tone and body type ranges and hair pattern search so our users are able to see themselves reflected in their search results. 📌 Innovate for inclusion: AI alone can't address representation — AI very much needs humans, too. To drive success, we must all continually innovate, adapt and evolve to meet the needs of our global communities. The journey to fully inclusive technology is ongoing, and at Pinterest, we're fully committed to it. 💯 Watch the keynote replay here 👉 https://lnkd.in/etmxkiJH #omr24 #omrfestival Photo credit: Markus Mielek

I had the absolute pleasure of visiting Hamburg to speak at OMR and spend time with our local colleagues. It was great to connect with the talented and passionate team in person and to get a taste of Germany’s vibrant culture and innovation. During my keynote today, I shared our vision for Inclusive AI at Pinterest and how it's essential to create products that are equitable and empowering for everyone. It was so inspiring to see the positive response from the audience and know that we're part of a movement that's making a real difference. I'm grateful for the opportunity to have met so many amazing people in Hamburg. Here's to more collaborations, more inclusivity, and more exciting experiences in the future! 🇩🇪 🧡 #OMR24 #InclusiveAI #Pinterest

“Q1 was a milestone quarter for Pinterest as we reached new highs: surpassing half a billion monthly active users and reporting 23% revenue growth – our fastest user and revenue growth since 2021. Thanks to our investments in AI and shoppability, we’re driving even greater returns for advertisers and gaining access to performance budgets. We’re executing with tremendous clarity and focus, shipping new products and experiences that users want, and in doing so, we’re finding our best product market fit in years.” - Bill Ready, CEO of Pinterest https://lnkd.in/gNTZ2vgD
