During this year's BIO International Convention (#BIO2024) in San Diego, we joined economic development and health system partners to host the BIO from the Bayou networking event, which showcased our city's rapidly evolving biotech industry and the opportunities that await here. NOLABA developed several assets to display during the event, spotlighting the BioDistrict New Orleans, the newly announced Xavier Ochsner College of Medicine (XOCOM), and state-of-the-art wet lab space available at The Beach at UNO. We look forward to continuing these discussions and working together to grow our local bio sector by attracting top talent and companies to the City of New Orleans.

We were honored to attend the annual Morial Awards last week to celebrate some amazing NOLABA partners and alums, including former NOLAHI Challenge winner and recipient of the Small Business Award Obatala Sciences, and InvestNOLA graduate VPG CONSTRUCTION which won Corporation of the Year.
