Zeta "Venture" Kernel Report

Over at ZetaNews they report on the new kernel in the upcoming Zeta OS code named Venture. This kernel has some impressive performance enhancement for memory managment and CPU support. We look forward to the April release of Zeta 1.0!

Haiku and Appserver Working Together!

The Haiku OS and Application Server, the main piece of code that controls graphical applications running on Haiku, have been modified to work together for the first time by Michael Lotz (of Tracker.NewFS fame). This is a major milestone of great significance for the Haiku OS project as it means that Haiku now has a graphical front end.

We're Back...

Our apologies to all beunited.org members and the community at large. We have had a very hard time getting back online after our shared server with Haiku,org crashed. After many tries and looking for a home with the best deal we are now back up and ready to start serving the OSBOS community again. Updates to our site will appear regularly from now on.

Recently the www.beunited.org web site was down. We apologize for this inconvenience to our members and the community. The situation has been fixed and service has been restored.
Developer Notice: The code.beunited.org CVS server is being moved to a new location as of last week. We apologize to our developers that they were not warned about this move prior to this announcement. All code is secure and backed up for the move. The completion of the move shall be this week. We would like to thank DriverSoft for providing the previous CVS service.

BeFree Integrated Haiku App Server

In a more to maintian 100% OSBOS compatibility the BeFree project has integrated the Haiku App Server. This more will allow apps to more freely between Haiku and BeFree with no changes to source and simply a re-compile. BeFree also reports that their Kernel Kit is near completion.
