After 14 years of working on Hungry Shark from an idea on a piece of tissue to the multi-platform franchise that it is today, we have a few last words we would like to share. We want to support our team affected by the closure as much as we can, so if you’re hiring talents, want to know more about the unique skills of these wonderful people, or want to support them in their onward journey, please reach out to our HR Business Partner Ruby H. to discuss opportunities. #Ubisoft #LifeAtUbisoft
About us
Ubisoft London (Formerly Future Games of London) was founded in 2009 to build interactive entertainment for the emerging smart phone market. We believed that the arrival of the App Store in July 2008 would open up an incredible opportunity to deliver innovative, original and mass market content to an ever-increasing global audience. Ubisoft London have focused since then on understanding the needs of people that enjoy playing games on their smart phones and tablets. We have designed games that we believe have an immediate global appeal, recognition and understanding. We also spend time to understand the increasing demographic range, gender and nationality splits of the smart phone user base and make content to resonate as wide as possible to this global audience. Ubisoft London are exclusively a free-to-play studio. We believe in this business model as a way to not only reach & entertain a huge global audience, but also to better understand their requirements and play behaviour in our games. This hasn’t been easy with over one billion installs and often up to 2.5 million daily active users, but it’s a great privilege to provide entertainment to this many people and we love to hear how much they enjoy what we do. Future Games of London (Now Ubisoft London) became part of the Ubisoft family in October 2013, and is their only mobile studio in the UK. MEET THE TEAM: Paul Sedgmore (QA Lead) ✨ "I am the QA Lead for Hungry Shark World at Ubisoft London. It’s my job to ensure that the new features are working correctly, and to be the voice of the players during development. The thing I love most about my job is that it is different every day, there are always new challenges to overcome and I work with a lot of really talented people that are all working towards the same goal. In my spare time I like to collect and paint Warhammer minis." #Ubisoft #LifeAtUbisoft

MEET THE TEAM: Ahmed Allam (Product Marketing Manager) ✨ "As Product Marketing Manager on the Hungry Shark brand, I’m mainly focused on things like Brand Communication, Brand Management, Market Research, Data Analytics and Reporting as well as Crossovers and Partnerships. Each day brings a new and varied challenge which drives me to be creative and think out of the box to create solid strategies & solutions. There are many benefits to working in Ubisoft London but some of things that come to mind are our great office in Central London, the awesome titles we work on, our Brand Pillar of supporting charitable causes but most of all the feeling of family within our team! Outside of work I love to game but also love sports. I’m a huge Football fan but also love Basketball & Tennis!"

MEET THE TEAM: Lena Barendt (Marketing Artist, Ubisoft London) "I'm a Marketing Artist at Ubisoft London and work with creating assets for the game stores, engaging visuals for social media campaigns and every so often, designs for printed merchandise. Games have always been a big part of my life and I am so excited to be part of creating them now. In my spare time I still game - mostly Survival and Narrative games, but I also run obstacle races and enjoy pop culture."
