Sending a big thank you from OIX to the Identity Week organisers. Nick Mothershaw and Gareth Narinesingh from the OIX team had a busy couple of days catching up with old friends and made a lot of new ones too. They will be in touch with everyone they met over the next few days! Great to get OIX members together in Amsterdam whilst attending #IdentityWeek 2024!
At last the sun finally comes out in beautiful Amsterdam! I’ve been representing at Identity Week Europe on behalf of the OIX - Open Identity Exchange and met up with #digitalID contacts, old and new. For anyone who wasn’t here, it was a 360 degree immersive experience in the EUDI wallet concept and promise. #wallets are now all identity folk are talking about - not if, not when, not why. It is simply a stated fact (of EU law) that they will be. Conversation on the fringes was of breakthrough, trust, education and practical demonstration through Large Scale Pilots. If you are passionate about digital ID as we are, then you live in exciting times because your interaction with the digital world is about the change. And I’m proud to say that the OIX - Open Identity Exchange community is at the cutting edge of this! As a brief aside I just want to say how pleasant my stay was at the nhow Hotel Amsterdam, just yards from the RAI convention centre. Highly recommended!

Jaye Hackett and Chloe Coleman are just back from Identiverse in Las Vegas, where they gave a talk: A New Approach to Inclusive, Accessible ID Verification Using Vouching. After a bit of sleep, we asked how it went! Chloe sez: “It went really well! We met some amazing people and the people who attended asked really engaging, interesting questions. It was fantastic to find other people who are passionate about ID inclusion. We actually got thank yous from people for the work we’re doing, and we’re going to be chairing a working group on identity inclusion at the OIX - Open Identity Exchange.” So look out for that! Also: “We bet $11 the whole time we were there, we got $0.14 back.” 🍒🍒💩
