Today is World Environment Day! The theme this year is land restoration, desertification and drought resilience. To support this, CNX has strengthened its partnership with Evertreen to plant another tree on behalf of each of our employees. We have planted coniferous Cariboo trees in a forest in British Columbia, an area that was ravaged by wildfires in 2017, 2018, and 2021, destroying more than 1.3 million hectares of land and leaving a scarred and barren landscape. Our trees will contribute to a reforestation project aimed at restoring the area, with the goal of assisting natural regeneration and allowing the damaged ecosystems to flourish once again. At CNX we aspire to be sustainability pioneers and we consider every action we take through a wider sustainability lens, whether that be through supporting Evertreen, sourcing our office supplies from a green supplier, or offering electric car and cycle-to-work schemes to our employees. #GenerationRestoration #worldenvironmentday #buildingahealthierworld
