In January, we were lucky enough to have a professional film crew visit us on behalf of the Cartier Women's Initiative. The crew spent two days engaging with Asan’s team, customers and social impact partners. The visit to the Chowkasandra village in Kanakapura, where women from the Lambani community shared their experiences with the Asan cup was a real highlight! The Cartier Women’s Initiative has captured our social impact work in a beautiful one-minute video and we’re so excited to share it with you. To donate a cup to a woman or girl in need, head to www.asancup.com/give today!

Thank you to Primark for hosting us at the fantastic Health Mela in Dhaka, Bangladesh! This was an event organised by Primark for factory owners focused on women’s health and well-being across the country. At the event, Asan was joined by other enterprises also working towards the mental and physical well-being of people around the world. Having transformed the lives of women working in factories across India 🇮🇳, we’re so excited to introduce the Asan cup to factories in Bangladesh 🇧🇩!

It’s official: Menstrual cups reduce infections! 🦠 For years, we have heard from Asan users that switching to a menstrual cup has had a positive impact on their vaginal health. We're thrilled that researchers at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine have confirmed this in their new study! The study was conducted among school girls in Kenya over a period of 30 months, and was led by Dr Garazi Zulaika and experts such as Penelope Phillips-Howard, Supriya Mehta and others across the health and policy fields. Key findings include: ✅ 24% of girls who used a cup saw a reduction in Bacterial Vaginosis ✅ 37% increase in 'good bacteria' among those who used the cup ✅ 33% reduction in HSV-2 among girls who used the cup Read this blog to learn more about this incredible breakthrough in menstrual health⚡️ www.asancup.com/newstudy

🩸 As part of a series about Virgin StartUp’s Collective Impact programme, Maddyness UK spoke to Ira Guha, founder and CEO of Asan. "One Asan cup averts the waste of 2,500 #sanitarypads or #tampons. For every Asan sells, we donate one to a #woman or #girl in rural #India who can’t access safe #period care." "If you’re hoping to start a #business, focus less on what you’d like to #sell and more on what real #worldproblem you’d like to solve." https://lnkd.in/gKCvvRhi
