๐ŸŒˆ Hey Rainbow Readers! Happy Pride! We have several fun genre lists heading your way this month. All of these lists will feature between 10-20 books and all books on it will have under 5,000 Goodreads ratings, with a handful on each being under 1,000! I am so happy to be a part of the #QueerBookstagrammerTour again this year!

Leave it to me to wait until the last minute to get photos for this and then not be able to choose which to use. ๐Ÿ˜‚ I picked a few of my favorite queer books to feature. Books that spoke to me on some level or were just incredibly fun reads. I'm happy to answer any questions!

Some facts about me:

โ€ข I'm panromantic asexual, but generally say I'm queer

โ€ข Rom-coms are my comfort genre, both books and movies

โ€ข I live in Texas with my partner of 8 years and our two cats, Obi and Winston (swipe to slide 4 to see Winston)

โ€ข I'm neurodivergent (most likely auDHD)

โ€ข I've gotten back into manga collecting after being bullied out of it in high school

โ€ข Audiobooks have absolutely CHANGED my reading game. The trauma of the pandemic sadly obliterated my attention span for most physical books

โ€ข Most of what I read these days is queer in some way

A huge thanks to @foreverinastory and @djreadsbooks for putting this together!

Remember: whether you are out or not, know you are greatly loved and my account is a safe space. ๐ŸŒˆโœจ๏ธ Bigots can't and won't win.

I am now president of the Winston fan club thank you

For this list, we defined dystopian books as an imagined world or society in which people lead wretched, dehumanized, fearful lives. Youโ€™ll find themes of revolution and survival at all costs in these books!

Do you have any others you would add to this list? Authors please feel free to self-promote your queer dystopian books in the comments!

We have good news! Due to unexpected demand we have been given the okay from the publisher to sell copies of The Sun and the Star with the exclusive dust jacket and book plate outside of the box! This is something that we donโ€™t anticipate happening again in the future, so if you are interested in future boxes, youโ€™re best bet is to keep your waitlist spot.ย

Weโ€™re sorry we werenโ€™t able to give more notice, but the presale starts now and will run until Saturday, April 29th @ 11:59 PM EDT, after that we will determine a cap and our remaining stock will be for purchase until sold out.

๐ŸŒˆ Some important information:

-This is a preorder and will not be shipped immediately. We will give an exact shipping date closer to time, but the extra dust jackets have to be ordered separate from the ones for the box so they will be slightly behind. Projected ship date is early June.ย

-The purchase will only include the hardcover book, the secondary exclusive dust jacket with art by @alessiajontrunfio, and the digitally signed bookplate with art by @velinxi.ย

-The purchase will not include the spoiler card art by @ace-artemis-fanartist or the author letter from both authors. Those are exclusive to the box.ย

-The price will be $24.99 USD plus shipping and handling. We are not responsible for any customs or import charges. Payment will be taken at checkout!

Weโ€™re so thankful to both the artists who have created art for this book and being able to support @/MarkDoesStuff and Rick Riordan!

๐ŸŒˆ For those on the waitlist hoping to get a full box:If you purchase the book to not miss out and get invited off the waitlist we will apply the price of the total order to your subscription box and cancel your book only order. Instructions on this will be included in your waitlist invitation purchase email.ย
