Use saved passwords in other iPhone & iPad apps

If you save a username and password for a site in Chrome, you can use those credentials to sign in to other apps on your iPhone or iPad. Learn how to save your passwords to Chrome.

Allow other apps to use passwords from Chrome

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, open your device settings.
  2. Select Passwords.
  3. Follow the prompts to unlock your device.
  4. Select Password Options.
  5. Turn on AutoFill Passwords and Passkeys.
  6. Select Chrome Chrome.
  7. To finish setting up, follow the on-screen instructions.

Tips:

  • If you can’t access passkeys stored in Google Password Manager from your browser, it might be because your browser has not been approved yet. Learn more about signing in with passkeys.
  • If you develop a browser app that hasn’t been approved, you can submit a request to become a trusted browser app for Google Password Manager. To submit a request, fill out this form.

Use Chrome passwords in other apps

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, go to an app you want to sign in to.
  2. On the sign-in page, tap the username or password field.
  3. In the keyboard, select Passwords.
  4. To allow autofill, you may need to sign in to your device again.
  5. Select the password you want to use.
