I started listening to malevolent on September 25th 2022. I remember the exact date because literally ten minutes into the first episode I got an email from my university telling me I had to evacuate because there was a hurricane coming to destroy the campus (it was fine). Spent the next week in a hotel room with my roommate doing nothing but watching anime music videos and teenage mutant ninja turtles, eating leftover takeout, and listening to malevolent.
It has been a year and a half. It is now deeply ingrained in my psyche. I am also excited for another wild malevolent summer.

i REALLY love your lineup of all the monsters in malevolent but for the life of me i can’t place the tall figure behind Scratch/Hattie with the fur and upturned bat nose, which one is that?
That is the pit monster! In the episode it is referred to as a ghoul, but there has been some wog/fan discussion calling it a gug, so I combined some traits from both creatures and then added some things that I thought would suit its environment, like large bat ears.

I’m glad you think so! I actually have read like 80% of dunmeshi though sadly I did have to bail later on cause some of the content wasn’t meshing with my personal mental state BUT I’m excited to get back into it with the anime, I do love the characters.
