Larry Tanz

An 8 year Netflix veteran, Tanz oversees all programming from EMEA across series, films, nonfiction, and acquisitions, and chairs the company leadership team in EMEA, Netflix's largest region. He leads a team of creative executives behind shows such as Lupin (France), The Empress (Germany) and La Casa de Papel (Spain), films such as Troll (Norway) and All Quiet on the Western Front (Germany), and nonfiction titles including Love Never Lies (Poland) and Young Famous and African (Africa). He has teams working across 9 country offices and they are programming original local language content out of 25 countries.
Prior to moving to Amsterdam in 2019, he led teams commissioning and acquiring content across the Americas, LatAm, and Asia, helping Netflix to expand globally.

Larry previously served as CEO of Michael Eisner's digital studio Vuguru (now Tornante Television), CEO of LivePlanet (whose founders include Ben Affleck and Matt Damon), and held senior positions at AOL Time Warner and Mercer Management Consulting.

He is a founding board member of Water.org which has helped provide safe water and sanitation to over 20 million people around the world.
