An immersive pop-up space in celebration of the Versace “La Vacanza” 2024 collection was officially unveiled in Chengdu’s Citang Street with an opening event. The large scale pop-up shares in the “La Vacanza” collection’s influences of sea, sun, and the bright days and glowing nights of summer, through spatial designs which reflect light and ripple like the ocean surface. The building’s exterior is transformed by iconic Versace signatures, while interior décor plays on transparencies through glass surfaces and reflective mirror walls, while raffia flooring continues the collection’s use of the material. An artistic installation created in collaboration with Sichuan-born artist, Hu Yinping, dominates the interior space. The piece features familiar and mysterious sea creatures each meticulously woven by a collective of over 70 local women. An accompanying soundscape interplays sounds from the local Chengdu area, creating a blend of the fantastical and the everyday. Hu Yinping's artwork also features within Versace's Beijing Sanlitun, Shanghai IAPM, and Hong Kong K11 MUSEA boutiques until May 20th. #VersaceLaVacanza #Versace
