Build:

  • Stage;

Affected Platforms:

  • Windows 10;

Browsers tested on:

  • Firefox, latest version;

Prerequisites:

  • Have a new Firefox browser profile created;
  • Have the latest Stage version of the add-on installed;
  • Be signed in into a Relay account, with or without an active subscription

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Go to the Relay Stage site;
  2. Go to the Settings page;
  3. Disable the “Privacy” (Data Collection) option and click Save;
  4. Open the Relay add-on toolbar menu;
  5. In this menu click on the “Allow” button;
  6. Observe the results;

Expected result:

  • The option is automatically enabled OR the user is directed to enable it by themselves;

Actual result:

  • Clicking on the “Allow” button opens the Relay dashboard in a new tab, but there is no other change regarding the Privacy (Data Collection) option, nor there is any explanation or directions for the user on how to enable it;

Notes:

  • I remember at some point that clicking on the “Allow” button redirected the user to the Settings page, but now, as per Tony’s explanations, this cannot be done due to technical limitations. But this is still a bit confusing, as the button doesn’t actually do anything from what I can see;
