The introduction says:

nearest <section> ancestor

as if it's only the <section> tag, and not tags such as <article>

What did you expect to see?

nearest section ancestor

where section links to https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/HTML/Content_categories#sectioning_content
