The OECD’s Platform for Innovative Learning Assessments (PILA) is a library of learning activities that help students develop competencies such as: ➡️ computational problem solving ➡️ systems thinking ➡️ self-regulated learning. As students work, teachers can track their student progress in real-time and adapt their teaching. They can also use PILA customiser tools to design new learning activities. What’s more – education researchers can conduct studies using PILA’s secure data collection and reporting tools. PILA is also ever-expanding, and new open-source tools can be flexibly integrated. Try PILA now – it’s free and open-source! 🔗pilaproject.org #21stCenturySkills Emma Linsenmayer, Sruthi Ranjani V., Mario Piacentini

Creativity is a must-have in today’s world. Our latest PISA survey measured this in students, exploring its importance in academic outcomes and in navigating today's complex problems. While we talk about the importance of fostering this in schools, why not in our working lives? OECD brought in the creative development program EGAKU, which helps businesses and organisations unleash their creativity through art. Members of OECD’s Directorate for Education and Skills, participated in this week’s workshop which focused on value alignment in our work. Creativity is just as important in our working lives as it is in schools, and creative exercise can help empower us to expand comfort zones, rethink modes of operation and reflect on problems from new angles. Check out our work below and read our latest research measuring creative thinking of 15-year-olds around the world. 👉 https://bit.ly/45dxRvv Ryoko Maria Nakamura #Creativity #CreativeThinking

🚀 Out today! 🚀 Nearly 1/5 of students in participating OECD countries and economies did not achieve baseline proficiency levels in financial literacy. Latest OECD PISA report shows 15-year old students actively use financial products and services, but important gaps persists in their levels of financial literacy and knowledge of money matters. Stronger financial education is essential to help them better manage their money at a young age and navigate new challenges in an increasingly digitalised financial landscape.
