Wikipedia:WikiProject Deletion sorting/Albums and songs

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This is a collection of discussions on the deletion of articles related to Albums and songs. It is one of many deletion lists coordinated by WikiProject Deletion sorting. Anyone can help maintain the list on this page.

Adding a new AfD discussion
Adding an AfD to this page does not add it to the main page at WP:AFD. Similarly, removing an AfD from this page does not remove it from the main page at WP:AFD. If you want to nominate an article for deletion, go through the process on that page before adding it to this page. To add a discussion to this page, follow these steps:
  1. Edit this page and add {{Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/PageName}} to the top of the list. Replace "PageName" with the relevant article name, i.e. the one on the existing AFD discussion. Also, indicate the title of the article in the edit summary as it is particularly helpful to add a link to the article in the edit summary. When you save the page, the discussion will automatically appear.
  2. You should also tag the AfD by adding {{subst:delsort|Albums and songs|~~~~}} to it, which will inform editors that it has been listed here. You may place this tag above or below the nomination statement or at the end of the discussion thread.
There are a few scripts and tools that can make this easier.
Removing a closed AfD discussion
Closed AfD discussions are automatically removed by a bot.
Other types of discussions
You can also add and remove other discussions (prod, CfD, TfD etc.) related to Albums and songs. For the other XfD's, the process is the same as AfD (except {{Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/PageName}} is used for MFD and {{transclude xfd}} for the rest). For PRODs, adding a link with {{prodded}} will suffice.
Further information
For further information see Wikipedia's deletion policy and WP:AfD for general information about Articles for Deletion, including a list of article deletions sorted by day of nomination.

Love, Lies & Therapy[edit]

Love, Lies & Therapy (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) – (View AfD | edits since nomination)
(Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL)

Found reviews from AllMusic and Classic Rock Italia which give me enough reason to not immediately BLAR, but not enough to be confident in notability. There are a few other publications that covered the release, but it didn't look like they were writing anything unique. I would redirect to Saliva (band). S. P. Sailaja Telugu Songs[edit]

S. P. Sailaja Telugu Songs (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) – (View AfD | edits since nomination)

WP:NOTDIRECTORY. According to S. P. Sailaja article, she sang over 10,000 songs. A full (and unreferenced!) list of them is completely unwarranted. Broc (talk) 09:26, 23 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I am also nominating the following related pages for the same reason:

S. P. Sailaja Tamil Songs (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views)
S. P. Sailaja Kannada Songs (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views)

  • Note: This discussion has been included in the deletion sorting lists for the following topics: Albums and songs, Lists, and India. Spiderone(Talk to Spider) 11:00, 23 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete for ALL. No sources on this page. It is just a simple listing without showing encyclopedic merit. RangersRus (talk) 14:09, 23 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete All - The previous voter and nominator are correct, as these are simple lists without encyclopedic value or evidence of notability. Also, since nobody ever caught the fact that the articles should have "List of..." in their titles, they have probably gone unnoticed by readers looking for knowledge in Wikipedia. ---DOOMSDAYER520 (TALK|CONTRIBS) 15:02, 23 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

This article has been unsourced for ten years. Little coverage of this song is found, therefore failing WP:GNG. Jontesta (talk) 23:30, 19 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete. Not every song from a popular musical is notable. The song has not charted or become a standard in any way. The sources do not give it significant coverage separate from the musical. -- Ssilvers (talk) 03:15, 20 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Redirect to Wicked (musical) per above. QuietHere (talk | contributions) 03:25, 20 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

One Night in Malibu[edit]

One Night in Malibu (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) – (View AfD | edits since nomination)

There's almost a complete lack of secondary news sources on this album. The first two sources are about the "digital experience" video event rather than the album, and one of those, uDiscover Music, is a news site owned by Universal Music Group. It received no reviews from notable outlets (the one on the article is a college student reviewing the album, not a professional music critic, and the only other source I found through Google is a WordPress blog), and didn't chart, so I think it should be redirected to OneRepublic discography as it's still a valid redirect. Fails WP:NALBUM and WP:GNG. Appears to have not charted or been covered by reliable sources - May be some Japanese coverage, but difficult to locate. Mdann52 (talk) 06:49, 6 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Redirect to Green Day discography#Extended plays: None of the coverage in the article is from reliable sources, and I found no reliable coverage. QuietHere (talk | contributions) 12:46, 6 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Comment: The Japanese title is Bakuhatsu Live! +5 and charted at number 45 on the Oricon Albums Chart. I wasn't able to find much in the way of reviews, but I admittedly only made a surface-level check (爆発ライブ!+5, if anyone wants to search further for sources). Thank you for this info it helps me out. i will add this to the page Stnh1206 (talk) 00:18, 7 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Someone has found a oricon article on this EP where it shows to have charted. number 8 on the reference page Stnh1206 (talk) 00:31, 7 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Comment:Except it's not an EP, it's the same length and a longer track listing than the bands debut album. If it's redirected it should be to live albums, but if it's charted it shouldn't be redirected, just retitled.Hoponpop69 (talk) 13:04, 7 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The thing is tune in Tokyo is 33 minutes and it says it is a live ep Stnh1206 (talk) 20:09, 12 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
