the idea of tumblr being dead is so funny to me because it’s the only social media where i actually feel like other people are online at the same time

Simon wasn’t sure how he had ended up scrolling through Prince Wilhelm’s Instagram page. He had been doing his chemistry homework, but now he was somehow here, looking at photos from Wilhelm’s fifteenth birthday party. Which had been more than a year ago, that was how far Simon had scrolled. It would have been embarrassing on its own, but to add insult to injury, Wilhelm was a prince. Simon had a huge monster of a crush on a fucking prince. He knew he wouldn’t hear the end of it once Ayub and Rosh found out, and it wouldn’t help his case at all that the prince in question was cute and dorky and a little bit awkward and had really lovely brown eyes that turned a golden amber in the sunlight and gazed at Simon with an intensity that made him feel like Wilhelm could see into his very soul, and somehow never looked away when Simon caught him staring, which was often, and didn’t that mean something? Simon thought that he maybe wanted it to mean something –
