I still can’t believe how many people think helluva boss is bad. It has one of the most compelling slow burns between two men I’ve ever seen, and it’s not subtext, or something we need to write a 2000 word tumblr post to prove. It’s canon. Proof is on the paper.

I wholeheartedly agree with everyone who has pointed out that Stolas believing he would die in Blitzø's place highlights how oblivious he is to his own privilege.

But I also want to talk about how Stolas wasn't the only one who genuinely believed he, a Goetia, could die in Blitzø's place.

💯 absolutely. I think Via did too, though it might be more of a reach? Given Stolas, Blitzø’s, and Via’s reactions, it makes me wonder if there’s precedent despite what Satan says about why he’s not executing Stolas.

But willing to cap a guy who was truly a good man to many adoptive kids, because comedy. Yeah, this just demonstrates this show is now on Stolas based morality logic. They can't let Blitzo do stuff unless he's reminded of his situation with Stolas, but not his situation with Loona which should more important. I mean I could see it possible if it took time for him to realize he's the genuine thing but ends up still shooting him by accident which him still complete the mission but still feel shitty for causing a guy he's come to see as kin in spirit. But that would mean actually realizing that there are more important relationships than Stolitz and that his daughter should be more important than that shitty bird.
