Your writing has been heavily resembling @/ylangelegy lately. I mean I’ve been following both of you for a while and the shift is noticeable. I don’t know if it’s intentional or not, but it’s really frustrating to see because she has such a unique voice and now it’s like it’s being absorbed into other people’s work without acknowledgment. I’m saying this because I assume you wouldn’t want people thinking you’re copying someone else, right? Maybe it’s just subconscious but I realy think you should take a step back and ask yourself why these similarities are so strong It’s not a good look and I'm sorry if it was hurtful but this is what I noticed:(

well, tbh if u hadn’t mentioned this author, i wouldn’t even have known who u were talking about bc i never saw their work on my timeline before (with all due respect to them, of course, its jus bc im not that active here anymore) i’ve been off for days, so i haven’t had time to keep up with anything, let alone "absorb" someone elses style. that said, i checked out their blog, and their work is really good.

but let’s be real, our styles are clearly different. at the end of the day, we’re writing about the same group, the same members, sometimes even the same tropes. similarities are bound to happen, that’s just how fandom spaces work.

and if you’re that pressed about it, maybe take a step back and ask yourself why it bothers you so much. seems like a lot of effort to police writing when there’s enough space for everyone here. hope that helps

I started in a new (and a very big girl job 💼) a few weeks ago. I'm still a bit nervous everytime before I go to work and I still have quite a few things to figure out.
