Friend group chats are fun. Today one of my friends, who keeps pet crayfish, found babies in a tank that was supposed to be a males only. No choice but to empty out the whole tank to fish out the babies of unknowable origins. But lo and behold, there was a culprit: one teeny tiny little female had somehow escaped containment, evidently specifically going out of her way to break into this all male tank to get railed by like 15 males twice her size. Possibly completely different breed, too. Monsterfucker supreme.
So for a good solid hour or so, the whole group chat was focused on. slutshaming this one specific little crustacean. With like 300 babies.

i myself needed to be reminded of this today. the freedom of summer also means the risk of falling back into bad habits if i'm not mindful

In their last few variety show appearances, Hongjoong has made a point to call out Mingi for never responding to the group chat - but, more importantly (and which Hongjoong emphasizes), Mingi never responds to his texts.
I'm reminded of when Mingi face-timed Hongjoong when he was at a Japanese onsen with a company hyung and Hongjoong berated Mingi for not responding to his work texts. Workaholic Hongjoong expected Mingi send notes about a song while he was was on a date trip to Hakone with his hyung. Hongjoong jokingly mentions twice that this appears to be a very romantic trip.
Was that Yunho with Hongjoong? I thought I heard his voice.
It would be so funny if the source of Hongjoong's exasperation is that Mingi has an active social life and isn't spending every hour in the recording studio or hotel thinking about work. They are such different people, yet they enjoy each other so much. That Mingi called just to say hi tells us so much about their relationship. Hongjoong ending the call with "don't be awkward!" is my favorite bit.
