Well I’m glad you asked

when your 15 year cash cow is the only thing keeping your unprofitable network afloat and it's ending so you produce a copaganda show starring one of the main actors in an attempt to keep that dedicated audience, but in marketing this new show you butcher the cash cow's last season and alienate a significant portion of the viewers, the finale inevitably overshadowed by accusations of queerbait and homophobia which drives off those viewers from your network completely, and now you're left with a reboot of walker texas ranger in a politically divisive cultural climate and you realize that the actor that stayed on your network wasn't really the main draw to your television behemoth and the other actors who arguably did draw in viewers have moved on to other projects with no interest in coming back to your network, and then your star actor has a twitter meltdown and the other main actor in your copaganda leaves for "personal reasons" and your powerpuff girls live-action remake gets its pilot script leaked and torn apart over social media and somehow riverdale becomes your last line of defense against online streaming who is quickly destroying network television which you haven't made money off of since 2006 anyway

tbf, they’re reaping what they sowed: the CW came out of the end of UPN and the WB, both of which were kept successful through shows that Black people watched and made popular. CW took a fraction of that success, killed the popular Black shows and replaced them with majority-white casts, and then watched their revenue plummet year after year

Eldermourne has Echo Knights so I think Exandria should have sentient spellbooks that you can only copy spells from if you wrestle them into submission first, and if you fail that saving throw you get your ass kicked by a book.

I choose to believe these exist in Aeor because it’s very funny to think about Caleb and Essek sitting on the floor, 7 hit points left between the two of them, shellshocked because the book they were trying to read called them ‘a couple of noodle-armed wieners’ and beat them up.

Later they work out a system where one of them sneaks up behind the book and tackles it and pins it open for the other to copy a spell. Teamwork makes the dream work.

Essek: yeah so i studied physics and graviturgy in undergrad, then worked as an assistant doing quantum physics equations, which led me to switch focus and get my masters in Temporal physics with a thesis on echoes and alternate timelines. Research position in Blightshore studying temporal instabilities, which built into my doctoral dissertation in Temporal physics, focusing on crosstime interactions and fate alteration, and most of my post-doc work was in fate alteration dealing with motes of possibility, although you know how dealing with the Luxon went. I put more time into work with the Lens, after that, although I still published papers here and there, mostly back to pure mathematical modeling.
