ollie would email malcolm a five paragraph apology for some relatively inconsequential fuckup in the grand scheme of things where he’d stop just short of offering himself up for an abraham and isaac scenario outside number 10 and malcolm would reply twenty minutes later with Fixed. You’d probably lick my shoes if I asked, wouldn’t you? MT

Here are my speculations as to what Woodward and Bernstein ordered in both of the McDonald's scenes.

A Quarter Pounder, x2 Big Macs, a Cheeseburger(could be a Double Cheeseburger), an Apple Pie and 6 indistinguishable drinks. However, we all know McDonald's had three cup designs based on what kind of drink was ordered. Soft drinks had Ms near the bottom of the cup while milkshakes has a solid line and coffee was blank, this has led me to believe that two of these drinks might be milkshakes because of the lack of any Ms. Although, this is purely speculation due to the bottoms of the cups not being visible.

x2 Quarter Pounders with cheese, a Big Mac, a Hamburger (potentially a Double Hamburger), a Cheeseburger(could be a Double Cheeseburger), an Apple Pie and 2 indistinguishable drinks(I believe Woodward may be drinking coffee, but this is only a guess). I can't tell if the object in front of Bernstein's cup is supposed to be napkins or a wrapper, but if it is a wrapper, then it could potentially be another Hamburger/Double Hamburger or a Filet-o-Fish.

Also, if anyone has any confirmation as to what the Woodstein Meal™ actually consists of, please tell me.

#really really good post some solid analysis here#the first scene in this post is my favourite scene in the entire film but i am always distracted by the tables#(and by dustin hoffman eating a burger like a psychopath)#personally i think in that scene everything on the table closest to the camera is someone else's mess that hasn't been cleaned yet#mainly because of the amount of drinks although it is hard to tell which table some of them are on#but then again thats clearly all their food in the other scene so maybe they did eat all that. strange set dressing choices in general#all the president's men
