DRG-C was recently rewritten in Gatsby to make it easier/cheaper to host than the original React version. Both sites were written to be progressive web apps, which means they are automatically "installed" to your browser on first launch and can be used offline whenever your device can't contact the website.

However, this means that even though the original website is no longer being hosted, anyone who used DRG-C before the upgrade will automatically continue to use the old version in offline mode. This was an oversight on our part.

To fix this, simply clear your browser's cache for drg-completionist.com and you'll be on the current version.

I'm an "advanced" beginner who just starting lifting again four times a week after a three-year hiatus, but something about my lifts feels off. It's hard to put into words, but I feel like I'm not getting the workout I'm supposed to.

For example, I'll load up the bench press and start lifting heavy as I can, and I'll quickly get to a sticking point I just can't push past, and then I'll have to drop the weight back onto the rack. That said, I still don't feel like I'm getting a chest workout because my chest doesn't feel super exerted despite failing my set. It almost feels like I have reps left in the tank even though I legitimately can't do any more reps without taking like 20lbs off the bar, possibly because my triceps are too weak.

It's a similar story with my lat pulldowns, which I feel aren't actually heavy enough to hit my lats because my grip strength is too weak to hold the pulldown bar for three sets for me to really work my lats.

Is this normal -- to feel like you've got energy left in your major muscle groups even though you actually can't do any more reps?

(For what it's worth, I'm following the GZCLP program to keep things simple-ish.)

I'll give this a shot, and maybe some of those heel slip inserts if this doesn't do the trick. Hopefully it'll break in before too long. Thanks for the advice.

You might be right. I'm guessing a stretching would only make any heel slip worse, too. Do you have any favorite remedies of your own?

A just little bit, though I don't usually notice too much with boot socks. The part that really gets rubbed is the bottom of my ankle just above my heel, right where the bottom of my Achilles' tendon attaches to my foot.

Which part is the edge of the leather? My boot anatomical knowledge isn't great.
