Honestly the problem with conservative porn bans is that it’s never just violent extreme stuff for them. A lesbian couple holding hands on screen, or a trans person existing, is equally pornographic to their worldview. Thats why I can’t support bans. The conservatives cannot be trusted to stop when they get what they claim to want.

We tried air dry only on one of ours and it didn’t go well. Had to towel dry much more than she wanted before she would do anything but huddle in an angry ball.

I believe it happens at the end of a (red only?) shard- last I was aware of it, the working theory was that all of the shards in the game were caught by whatever “end shard event” trigger is in place, so if you time your server entry well, you can make all the red shards in eden turn into light.

Cute if it’s an existing couple who plays sky together, probably unwise if it’s people who have only met in sky. The pic itself? Creative use of emotes and adorable, but I thought the gold piece of the temple behind them was a little hat and they kissed so hard it flew away XD

Mine outgrew it for the most part! I mostly see it in kittens, they seem to outgrow doing it for play reasons as they get closer to two years or so. I miss my poofy little crabwalking girl, but she has other modes of play now that she’s all grown up!

A stranger? Nobody. A coworker, member of the same book club, owner of the shop next door, etc.? Plenty of people would consider that normal conversation. To me the obvious flirting and reciprocation would be a bigger issue, and where my main focus would fall. I think if you get focused on the conversation part you’re opening the door to get bogged down talking to him about something that wouldn’t be the real issue, since presumably you would have a problem with his actions even if the words themselves were removed. (Maybe that’s off base for your scenario and you would equally have a problem with the words if the actions were totally flat/neutral, since everyone has different relationship rules! In that case you can just not worry about this.)

So what he did was wrong, but I’m curious why you’re more focused on what he said to her than his behavior? “Where are you headed” is a pretty normal acquaintance-level question, by itself, so I’d consider the whole rest of his behavior as more of an issue and am curious why you’re seemingly seeing it as the opposite?

I don’t see where they claim to have evaluated 104 studies. Unless you are just looking at the number of references in their citations? That’s not necessarily equivalent. It’s also not in this thread, I had to scroll past this to find it.

Hmm. I do sleep easily when I’m tired, but I also need a lot of sleep pretty regularly. Something to discuss with the foster program if the other logistics ever work out I guess!

I’d have to talk about fostering with my landlady/housemate, but it’s possible that that could work. I also don’t know how my current cat would feel about it.

And I hear you about waitlists! One of my parents cats had a couple heats before she could get in to the vet for her spay (combination of waitlists and iirc our vet wouldn’t spay in heat for some reason) and it’s just luck (and her scared-of-everything personality) that kept her indoors and away from any male cats!

I think the main “good” reasons to do it would be centered around already wanting to change your last name, personally. If you like your last name and/or want to keep that connection to your family, then no I wouldn’t think changing it would be useful. Though, I don’t blame anyone for being last-name-ambivalent and just going ahead and changing theirs because society is really set up for families to have the same last name. I don’t think I’d change mine, but I also kind of can’t imagine marrying someone right now so maybe if I did I would feel differently.

Tiny beans! A handful of soft! My girl is fixed and while I don’t regret doing what’s best for her or her hypothetical kittens, I do kinda regret that I won’t have the chance to be around kittens that young. But I get my fix from this sub and I appreciate everyone who shares their pics here :)

If there was some way to ensure that he only hurt himself doing that I might even think he should be allowed to do so. Unfortunately, cars can make for a lot of collateral damage when people put their egos over safety. This guy should have his license revoked if that’s his attitude toward reckless driving, and I do not say that lightly.
