Minnesota Republican Senate candidate Royce White got in yet another juvenile social media battle on Friday evening, after being mocked for his support of the controversial new Louisiana legislation requiring the Ten Commandments be posted in all state-funded classrooms.
White, a former basketball star and mixed martial artist, has picked several similar arguments online, including one where he outright challenged one critic to a fight, and another in which he mocked a critic's use of pronouns in his social media bio.
"I know why they're really so angry. It's not about the 10 commandments, it's about the invaluable quality of faith," White posted on X. "The goal of identity politics is to confuse. Once confused, they can strip your identity completely and give you whatever new identity they want. Jesus Is King!"
The account @realben_jammin replied by saying, "You live in fairy tale land," and posting a video of White with circus music and clown images, above the hashtag #PayYourChildSupportNotStrippers — a reference to recent reporting that White is behind on child support and using campaign money at a strip club in Florida.
"Pete Buttigieg supporter," replied White.
"Yep. I also love and support my kids, you big dumb b-----," the man hit back, to which White said, "Groomer."
Asked by reporters about his child support issues in the past, White has responded with hostility, saying, "A lot of people have child support. A lot of people have alimony. A lot of people have back child support. All you liberals really just want to shame people with kids, because you’re anti-human as f---. That’s it. I love my children. And I’m current on my child support. I pay more child support than probably many people in this country over the course of their lives. It’s really a nothing issue.”
The Louisiana Ten Commandments bill, which is explicitly set up to challenge enforcement of the First Amendment's Establishment Clause and open the door for laws promoting Christian nationalism, is already facing legal action from civil liberties groups such as the ACLU.
A former Genovese crime family captain was reportedly decapitated by a truck as he crossed a Brooklyn street last week.
Antonio Conigliaro, 86, was identified by the NYPD as the man hit and killed June 12. The New York Post reported Friday that he went by "Tony Cakes" and "Tony the Dessert Man" — and was a former acting capo for the infamous crime family. He was struck by a city Transportation Department truck, his lawyers and law-enforcement sources told the Post.
“He spent his life looking over his shoulder but he forgot to look both ways before crossing the street,” a police source told the news outlet.
Conigliaro lived in a small Bay Ridge apartment building before his death.
In a 2005 article in the New York Times, Conigliaro was one of two men reputed to be Genovese crime family figures who were arrested on racketeering, loan-sharking, and extortion conspiracy charges. Conigliaro was identified then as an acting captain and told the judge he ran a cheesecake distribution company and made about $500 a week in addition to Social Security payments.
He received a 13-month sentence after taking a plea deal on a racketeering conspiracy charge, the Post reported.

The woman who accused a pro-Donald Trump megachurch pastor of sexually abusing her when she was 12 — which he later admitted — reportedly demanded payment from him in an unflinching email: "Pray about it and call me.”
Accuser Cindy Clemishire came forward last week with sexual abuse allegations against pastor Robert Morris of Gateway Church in Southlake, Texas. Clemishire said Morris molested her for years beginning when she was 12 at her Oklahoma home in 1982.
Morris and Gateway’s elders responded to the allegations last weekend acknowledging that Morris had several sexual encounters with a “young lady” when he was in his 20s. He was transparent about the sin and repented. On Tuesday, Gateway’s board of elders said Morris resigned. He has not been charged.
NBC News reported Friday evening that his accuser confronted him and demanded compensation two decades before Morris admitted to having "sexual” encounters with a child.
“Twenty-three years after you began destroying my life, I am still dealing with the pain and damage you caused,” Clemishire wrote Morris in a redacted 2005 email obtained by NBC News.

“I want some type of restitution," she said. "Pray about it and call me.”
Two weeks later, she received a response.
“Debbie and I really do care for you and we sincerely want God’s best for you,” Morris wrote. He said he'd confessed his sins to her father long ago and thought he’d “obtained your forgiveness as well as your family’s," according to the emails.
Then he threatened her with charges.
“My attorney advises that if I pay you any money under a threat of exposure, you could be criminally prosecuted and Debbie and I do not want that,” Morris said. “If you need more information, have your attorney contact mine.”
Morris later served on Trump’s spiritual advisory panel.
