Just in time for the long holiday weekend, Amazon has unveiled its first two Kids+ Original mobile games for smartphones and Fire tablets.

The first, Super Spy Ryan, is a multiplayer title featuring six characters from the Ryan's World Universe—based on the Kaji family and their popular YouTube channel.

Boasting unique abilities like a slime cannon and X-ray goggles, players compete to rescue the most stolen birthday gifts from evil Packrat's lair. Folks in the US, UK, and Ireland can download it now for iOS and Android; the title is also expected for launch in Canada, Germany, and Japan.

Joining the Kaji family soon, meanwhile, is musical education game Do, Re & Mi—designed to teach preschoolers how to play songs, read sheet music, and "produce" tunes. Based on the Amazon Kids+ show of the same name, the mobile musical adventure features stars Kristen Bell and Jackie Tohn and hopes to inspire new generations of performers.

For the security-conscious, the apps do not include friend lists, chat features, or real-life usernames. Parents and guardians can access co-op features like Single Player Mode for competing against the computer, or share a secret code with others on the same Wi-Fi network to enter Party Mode.

"We are always looking to bring joy and fun into the homes and lives of millions of families," Natasha Lipovac, global head of Amazon Kids+ content, said in a statement. "We hope both [titles] add smiles and laughter to kids and grown-ups alike with this first look at the new kind of fun coming from the Amazon Kids+ mobile games team."

Launched in 2012, Amazon's child-friendly Kindle service FreeTime and FreeTime Unlimited were rebranded in 2020 as Amazon Kids and Kids+. For $2.99 (Prime members) or $4.99 (everyone else) per month, parents can customize minors' profiles, schedule screen time, and set specific use cases (reading books, watching videos, using apps, etc.).
