In assigning ESG ratings, MSCI ESG Research applies the principles of transparency, consistent application of methodologies, and mitigation of conflicts of interest. MSCI ESG Research is pleased to announce it has signed up to the UK Code of Conduct for ESG Ratings and Data Products Providers (“the Code”).
The Code was developed by the ESG Data and Ratings Working Group (DRWG) and was published on December 14, 2023 by the International Capital Market Association (“ICMA”), which now owns and maintains the Code. The present statement expresses MSCI ESG Research’s support for promoting transparency, good governance, management of conflicts of interest, and robust systems and controls.
