What we’re about

Legal Hackers launched in August of 2012. Since then, it has grown to a community of legal tech innovators in more than 50 cities around the world, including 22 international cities and now...HOUSTON!

Houston Legal Hackers will meet monthly to share ideas, explore innovations in legal tech, and develop creative solutions to some of the most pressing issues at the intersection of law and technology. Through social/networking activities, hackathons, and workshops, we will identify ways of using technology to improve law, legal practice, and policy.  Because of COVID, we will meet online for the remainder of 2020.

If you work in law or technology or just have an interest in learning about the potential of technology to transform the practice of law, join us.

If you are a law student who wants exposure to innovations in legal tech, join us.

If you wish to build your digital literacy and play an active role in shaping the legal landscape of the future, join us.

We are explorers, makers, doers, creators, designers, coders, developers, innovators, and hackers. We will embrace emerging technology and work to understand its applications to the practice of law. We will join with others to address limitations in the justice system. We will close the justice gap while striving to provide open and equal access to the law.
