What we’re about

We are a community for people who suffer from a range of chronic illnesses, visible or invisible. It is a safe space to socialize, form connections and community. Our members are young adults (approximately 20-40) with chronic illness, pain and disability. If you fall a bit on either side of the range and want to participate - great! Yes there is a community of people like us, you are not alone!

Able-bodied friends and family often lack an understanding of what it is like to live with chronic and poorly recognized illnesses. While peers are tackling their educational goals, starting families, and advancing their careers and finances, we are often navigating doctors’ appointments, dietary restrictions, energy pacing, chronic pain, and medication schedules. This is a different set of issues than what adults over 50 navigate (hence the age restriction on the group).

There is nothing pretentious about this MeetUp. Show up in your pajamas or lie down on the couch - we get it. The group is for members, run and funded by members of the group. We make no profit and only cover our operating costs. Topics range from heavy and serious to light and fun. We incorporate both in-person and virtual meetings.

Members living outside of Denver, CO are welcome to join our zoom meetings. In person meetups will be in the Denver Metro Area.
