Developing an open standard for developing applications that deliver performance across a wide range of architectures.
About us
The Unified Acceleration Foundation is an evolution of the oneAPI initiative (oneAPI.io), which has witnessed significant growth as an open programming model that spans different architectures such as CPU, GPU, FPGA, and accelerators. With many open source projects and community contributions, the formation of the UXL Foundation, guided by a dedicated steering committee, marks the next critical step in driving innovation and implementing the oneAPI specification across the industry. We are delighted to collaborate with the High Performance Software Foundation (HPSF) to advance continuous integration, software stacks, and architectural support for #HPC components. Learn more below. #oneAPI #UXLFoundation
We are excited to announce the launch of the High Performance Software Foundation (HPSF), to build, promote, and advance a portable core software stack for high performance computing by increasing adoption, lowering barriers to contribution, and supporting development efforts. The HPSF benefits from strong support across the HPC landscape, including Premier Members Amazon Web Services (AWS), Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL), and Sandia National Laboratories (SNL); General Members AMD, Argonne National Laboratory (ANL), Intel Corporation, Kitware Inc., Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL), NVIDIA, and Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL); and Associate Members University of Maryland, University of Oregon, and Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC). HPSF will set up a technical advisory committee (TAC) to manage working groups tackling a variety of HPC topics. Drawing from member organizations and community participants, the TAC will follow a governance model based on the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF). The HPSF will also launch with the following technical projects: ➡️ Spack ➡️ Kokkos ➡️ Viskores (formerly VTK-m) ➡️ HPCToolkit ➡️ Apptainer ➡️ E4S Read the full announcement: https://hubs.la/Q02wTC6y0 #hpsf #hpc #opensource
