Clear themes emerged from this year’s NCMEC CyberTipline report: We must consider advanced technologies as our allies in the fight against the rise in child sexual abuse and CSAM online. AI and machine learning tools, such as those used in Safer Predict, provide powerful scale and efficiency for detecting harmful content, including text-based child sexual exploitation. And, tech companies play a key role. It’s critical that platforms detect CSAM and child sexual exploitation and submit high-quality reports to NCMEC.
