I'm thrilled to share that my application got selected by Google for Girls Hackathon 2023. Google Girls Hackathon is a shining example of the power of diversity and the limitless possibilities that emerge when we come together to solve problems. The first round of the hackathon was held on 3rd June 2023. I'm particularly excited about the Hackathon's emphasis on fostering a supportive environment for women. By providing a platform for us to excel, Google is not only encouraging diversity but also reinforcing the importance of inclusivity in the tech industry. Together, we can break barriers, shatter stereotypes, and create lasting change. In first Round Google asked two interesting OA problems in Girl Hackathon ; first was based on Hashing + Greedy ; second was based on Stack + Greedy. #google #share #tech #hackathon #girlhackathon2023

We can't be what we can't see. We had a great discussion about being a woman in tech and how we got where we are. We all discussed how we got into tech, what we do, and how we help each other because girls can't be what they can't see. All of us in this Google chat mentor tech, teach tech, and lead tech. 🌟 Reflecting on the impact of Women Who Code and other organizations that have supported me on my tech journey. 🌟 It's with a heavy heart that I've learned about the closing of Women Who Code. This organization has been a beacon of support and empowerment for countless women in the tech industry. Its closure serves as a stark reminder of the challenges women still face in this field. In the early days of computing, women like Ada Lovelace were pioneers, shaping the tech landscape. Yet today, women represent only 27.6% of the tech workforce, with Black women making up a mere 3%. It's clear we still have a long way to go. Women Who Code provided a safe space for women to thrive in tech, but its closure is not the end. It's a call to action for more support and engagement. That's why I'm proud to spearhead Luna Tech , a space where Caribbean girls can learn cybersecurity and web development fundamentals, empowering them to pursue tech careers. As we embark on our second season, let's remember the importance of creating safe spaces and uplifting one another. 💪 If you're seeking other supportive communities, consider joining Society Of Women Coders, Code First Girls, Girl Develop It, Women in Technology World Series and many more! ▌ 𝗥𝗲𝗳𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝘆 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵 𝗝𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆: 𝗔𝗻 𝗘𝘅𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 👩🏻💻 Recently, I had the chance to revisit what initially drew me to tech, redefine my goals, and reignite my passion. From the very beginning, I have always been fascinated by exploring the tech world and taking on new challenges. It is truly gratifying to see that I still have a clear vision of what I want to achieve on my tech journey. I still vividly remember my first programming class in university, where my lecturer emphasized the importance of #exploration. Indeed, the opportunities to explore the tech world are truly endless! ♾️ I was deeply honored to be invited by Girls In Code SEA to share my experiences & insights into the tech world as part of their coding competition for young women aged 12-18, which took place on March 19th, 2023.
