Behind many #Reservists, #CadetForceAdultVolunteers and members of the wider forces community are supportive employers who provide extra opportunities for training or volunteering. They give individuals in their workplace the chance to develop and reach their potential, whilst gaining the benefits of the transferable skills they bring back to their teams. Lieutenant Newport Cater from Staffordshire & West Midlands (North Sector) Army Cadet Force is one volunteer whose employer, JLR, goes the extra mile to support their employees. It's shaping up to be a busy #ArmedForcesWeek 🤩 Today Darren and John from our Employer Engagement team attended the planting of a memorial orchard to celebrate Armed Forces Week. Organised by Short Heath Lest We Forget CIC, the first tree was planted by their CEO, John Elwell, and HM Lord-Lieutenant for the West Midlands Lieutenancy, Sir John Crabtree CVO OBE. The tree was planted in memory of her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. A total of 108 trees and 110 bushes are being planted, and all of the tree planters joined together to show their respect to the Armed Forces community by saluting. Our team also visited #Wolverhampton to attend the City of Wolverhampton Council's Armed Forces Day flag raising ceremony at the Civic Centre, which was raised by HM Lord-Lieutenant for the West Midlands and the Mayor of Wolverhampton.   #ReservesDay #ArmedForcesDay
