Thank you to all of our Association members and guests who joined us for our Annual General Meeting last week. We'd like to extend our thanks to our keynote speaker Major General Marc Overton, to our panel discussion representatives from HMS Forward, Warwickshire and West Midlands (South Sector) Army Cadet Force and Darren Knight and our RFCA home team, and to Private Husain from 159 Regiment RLC who shared her experiences as a #Reservist. As we like a good element of surprise we also presented our Chair of the Cadets and Youth Committee with his 5th clasp to mark 42 years of volunteering service to the Cadet Forces 👏 Last but not least, a big thank you to 214 Battery RA - 104 Regiment Royal Artillery for their support and hosting us at their terrific Army Reserve Centre in #Worcester! It was a pleasure to see everyone and we hope to see you all at our upcoming events over the next year 🙌

This weekend our Employer Engagement team were in London with a number of our supportive employers, to watch the amazing Trooping the Colour parade. It's a special event that we always look forward to in our calendar, topped off by seeing the spectacular flypast afterwards. Thank you to our home team and Catherine for hosting a wonderful day - and to all of the employers who made the trip down to join us! The two-week countdown to the start of #ArmedForcesWeek is on 🎉 Armed Forces Week - which includes Reserves Day on the 26th June and Armed Forces Day on the 29th June - is a brilliant chance to thank and celebrate our Armed Forces for the role they play in protecting us both at home and abroad. So how can you or your organisation get involved to celebrate? ✅ Use the digital toolkit on the Armed Forces Day website to join in with the digital campaign on social media - tag your posts with #ArmedForcesDay #ReservesDay and #SaluteOurForces ✅ Attend a local Armed Forces Day event or flag raising ✅ Create a company blog post or intranet page to raise awareness of the roles of veterans, Reservists and Cadet Force Adult Volunteers ✅ Host an internal event for Reservists and the wider forces community in your workforce - this would be an excellent chance for staff to learn more about their roles and experiences! ✅ Learn more about the wider Armed Forces community by using a wealth of resources online There are more ideas of how you can celebrate on our website.
