Google Pixel will become the official mobile phone sponsors of the National Women’s Soccer League ⚽ Sponsoring the league’s Playoffs and Championship games in a multi-year deal. It’s the latest move made by the company into women's sports. Google will introduce a Pitchside with Pixel program that leverages the Pixel’s AI powered camera. Using National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) super fans and professional content creators as a means to gather exclusive, behind-the-scenes social media content and sharing it in real time. The program will drive featured footage from the sidelines, press conferences and tunnel walks. Putting the pixel's camera capabilities into the hands of super fans is a smart move for content distribution and virality. Since the AI powered camera is one of the best on the market. Other deals by Google into women’s sports include a multi-year partnership with WNBA (Women's National Basketball Association) and FIBA. These deals help to increase visibility and coverage across women's sports. I'm excited to see similar partnerships across women's sports in 2024. #womenssports #partnerships #ai

A big year in the US, 2024 will bring us into the era of the young vote. 🏫 Traditionally targeted through commercials, billboards, radio ads, college campus visits, and more recently, social media, political ad campaigns are now at a turning point in which they’ll deploy new methodologies to engage young voters through games. ▶️ As the virality of TikTok, growth of YouTube, and rise of Podcasts fuels the accessibility to creators and influencers, social media will continue to ramp up in its instrumental role in influencing young voters - but with it, the costs will continue rising as well. 📱 2024 will be a pivotal year that paves the road ahead for the future of political campaigns, being the first big voting year that sees a high volume of programmatic advertising that targets young voters with high volume of In-game ads. Here’s why: 👉 Programmatic ads are the most cost-effective, with an emphasis on in-game mobile ads 👉 Gamers are willing to watch ads due to rewarded tactics and native environments 👉 Programmatic ads are highly data-driven and can be optimized in real-time 👉 Young voters can be hyper-targeted and engaged at scale 2024 will reveal that in-game mobile ads and programmatic strategies are among the most effective methods for tapping into the young generation. #Advertising #MobileGames #Gaming #Marketing #InGameAdvertising #Elections #2024 #YoungVote #GenZ #Millennials

Why the ad boycott movement on Meta is getting far more traction in Quebec than in the ROC: There is a strong sense of supporting local media in Quebec. Meta's decision to block news links, which include French-language content, can be seen as a threat to Quebec's culture and language, leading to a more robust response. Also, the reaction by individual provinces towards Bill C-18, which requires web platforms to pay royalties to news media, is supported by Quebec but has been opposed by several other provinces. The A2C promotes local media, while the ACA wants a win-win solution. According to reporting by the Canadian Press, the Association of Advertising Agencies in Quebec (A2C) is relaunching its campaign called Mouvement médias d'ici, first created three years ago, which encourages businesses to allocate 25% of their advertising budget to local media. In contrast, the Association of Canadian Advertisers (ACA), has not called on its members to take action. In a statement sent to The Canadian Press, the association said it's "disappointed to learn that global platform giants are preparing to block news for Canadians." Its president, Ron Lund, asserts that "blocking links to Canadian news is not fair to consumers or advertisers of online content." But the ACA confines itself to encouraging Google and Meta "to continue to work with the government to find a win-win solution."
