The 2Africa subsea cable system, led by Vodafone UK, has landed in Bude, Cornwall. This system, the world's largest, aims to enhance internet connectivity between Africa, Europe, and Asia. With a capacity of up to 180 terabits per second, it will connect 33 countries, significantly improving digital services and economic growth. Vodafone managed the UK landing and provides onward connectivity via terrestrial routes. The project, involving partners like Meta and China Mobile International, underscores global collaboration to bridge the digital divide. Vodafone, a major investor in subsea cables, continues its legacy in advancing global telecommunications infrastructure.
