The question that made me rethink my live stream strategy: "What would have to be true?" A question I learned from renowned business strategist Roger Martin, I've found it to be useful for thinking strategically about a live stream production and the community we serve, especially when we address this question to three key areas: 1) Our Team: What would have to be true about our strengths and values? 2) Our Audience and Sponsors: What would have to be true about their expectations and needs? 3) Our Competitors or Alternatives: What would have to be true about other options available to our community? This question helps us think deeply about our idea, work together without arguing, and reach an agreement with confidence.

Alice Cooper’s Guillotine: How to Stop (Rewrite) Nightmares Forever Alice Cooper was born Vincent Furnier in Detroit, Michigan, in 1948. His family eventually moved to Phoenix, Arizona, while he was in high school. Alice Cooper is well known as the “godfather of shock rock.” He took his name from a character named Alice Cooper in the American television series “Mayberry RFD.” Alice’s theatrical rock show antics included using props such as snakes, electric chairs, baby dolls, and fake blood. But the showstopper of them all was his guillotine. Alice introduced the guillotine into his show in 1973 during the Billion Dollar Babies tour. But Alice had become interested in guillotines well before that tour. While taking art classes and studying Salvador Dali as a student at Cortez High School in Phoenix, Alice built a working guillotine that he used to slice watermelons. Alice’s first band in high school was the Earwigs. It was during their show at a Halloween dance that they used the guillotine for the first time. “They’d borrowed the prop from a journalism classroom where the kids were made to spend five minutes with their heads in the guillotine as punishment for late assignments.” (AZCentral) Alice loved creating nightmares for his theatrical presentations. Giving nightmares established Alice Cooper as one of the most successful rock artists ever. But, hey, when it comes to collaborating with other writers, you don’t want them giving you nightmares in your written presentations, right? What kind of nightmares? The nightmares that come with rewrites. Let’s face it. Consultants assume rewrites are part of the creative process. After all, it’s impossible for someone to get into your head to write about your expertise with 100% accuracy, right? Um, wrong. In fact, it *is* possible for a writer to get into your head and capture your expertise with 100% accuracy. How? You both pick up the phone and write your content together. It’s that simple. Then rewrites become a thing of the past. That’s because the two of you will be in sync—not out of sync. Alice Cooper is more than happy to welcome theatrical nightmares into his presentations . . . Just make sure you don’t welcome any rewrite nightmares into your own presentations, okay? ✍️ I’m Tom, premium ghostwriter for B2B consultants and creatives. Finished watching the series, "𝐀𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐫𝐨𝐰 𝐅𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐬" 𝐨𝐧 𝐍𝐞𝐭𝐟𝐥𝐢𝐱. Quite an intriguing watch that takes viewers on a captivating, albeit turbulent, journey through the world of ambition. The plot revolves around a young fan manoeuvring her way into a seasoned anchor's newsroom but soon confronts the dark side of ambition, envy and desire. Pertinent lessons to be learnt when competition turns fierce and the line between truth and sensationalism blurs. >> 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐩𝐞 "As the Crow Flies" interestingly explores the clash between Gen Z and the boomers! 'Asli Tuna', the young GEN Z protagonist, often chooses methods that contradict the traditional, meritocratic approach favoured by older figures like the seasoned anchor she works under. This dynamic adds another layer of intrigue, sparking questions about how one achieves success in the ever-evolving media landscape. >> 𝐈𝐬 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐜𝐮𝐭 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐢𝐬𝐤? The series keeps you guessing as the protagonist takes calculated risks and bends the rules to nudge ahead. But viewers are left to ponder: at what cost does ambition come? Does the relentless pursuit of success ultimately lead to one's downfall, or is the game all about staying true to your values. An interesting portrayal of ambition and how it can sometimes border on ruthlessness, leaving one morally ambiguous. #AsTheCrowFlies #netflix #turkish #ambition #truthorsensationalism #media #success #pursuitofhappiness #GenZ #GenX #intergenerationalconflict #socialmedia #KuşUçuşu #journalism
