1st of September...Where did that come from?!..😲 I hate the stereotype in recruitment that August is a 'quiet month' - for us it's never been busier. Yes, there's more annual leave (me included), but we're still on-boarding new clients, celebrating some wonderful candidate placements and seeing plenty of work with our existing customers. The Crone Corkill teams have been busy out and about seeing clients with our newly branded merchandise, we’ve been having some fun in the office with cycle to work challenges and continuing to have team socials after work in the sun! ☀ What I have noticed, particularly since COVID times, is that recruitment isn't following the traditional seasonal patterns and we are having to be a lot more flexible and take it as it comes. The recruitment market is very much keeping us on our toes right now. It seems those businesses who've genuinely invested in flexible working (compressed hours, job share, holiday entitlement) don't have such obvious gaps in their teams. And as a result, hiring in both temporary and permanent roles is much more evenly spread. Is anyone else seeing this?
