Fantastic. We also support mental health with our artists and community and can offer resources and connections to anyone that needs help today. Good job.
In the latest story from our “Disrupting the Narrative series,” we delve into an inspiring story of resilience and self-discovery.
Growing up in a single-parent household, Nicholas Feemster opens up about the struggles of feeling lost, angry, and abandoned. But amidst these challenges, a beacon of hope emerged through the power of Hip Hop.
Hip Hop became more than just music; it was a lifeline, a means to confront inner demons and carve a new path. Discover how Hip Hop taught the importance of personal responsibility and self-expression. It’s a tale of transformation and empowerment, showing that we all have the potential to overcome our biggest obstacle; which sometimes is ourselves. Nicco reminds us to reflect, express, and embrace your true self.

📖🌟 Lessons from "12 Angry Men: Stories of Black Men in America" 🌟📖
When I read the book "12 Angry Men: True Stories of Being a Black Man in America" almost 10 years ago it made me think about a famous line from a Kanye West song that I won't quote here. The stories in the book definitely inspired me. One day while sitting in front of my computer screen I thought to create the #BIPOCBookProject on mental health. The project would explore how the lessons from this book and to better understand the BIPOC experience and underscore the importance of sharing mental health narratives. 📚🌍
The book sheds light on the multifaceted experiences of Black men in America, providing poignant insights into their challenges, triumphs, and resilience. As I read these stories, I couldn't help but draw parallels between the lived experiences shared and the crucial need for open conversations about mental health within the BIPOC community. 🧠🤝
The #BIPOCBookProject aims to provide a platform for BIPOC individuals to share their own mental health narratives, breaking down stigma and fostering understanding. The lessons from "12 Angry Men" remind us that by sharing our stories, we empower ourselves and others, creating a supportive network that uplifts and transforms. 💬🌟
🔗 I invite you to join the conversation! Comment "Interested" if you would like to be apart of the project. Let's create a space where voices are heard and change is ignited! 🚀🗣️

Because the film resonated with me so much, here’s another post closing the loop on what can we do manage our mental health and wellbeing, given digital and social are not going anywhere, and will only further integrate into our lives.
*** SPOILER ALERT ***
The film closes with 5 “resolutions” and I think they’re brilliant:
Sharing the resolutions for those who focus on the “moral of the story” more than the story itself :
1️⃣: At least for some time during the day, keep your phones down, and look up to what’s happening around you, mindfully.
2️⃣: Stay authentic and keep your interactions, with others, and yourself, real.
3️⃣: Don’t compare your journey with someone else’s. You’re the only one running your race… and you will win it, it’s inevitable!
4️⃣: Be grateful. For everything you have, for everything you can do, and for everything you don’t have to endure or suffer.
5️⃣: Build a community. A community that loves you and supports you, that stays by your side when you’re low.
And here’s a bonus to add to the list from my side:
6️⃣: Be kind. To yourself and to others - life can be difficult, and can make us say and do things that are not aligned to our values. Embrace these mistakes, learn from them, and improve. But importantly, be kind and learn to forgive.
What are your New Year resolutions to manage your mental wellbeing?

"Kho Gaye Hum Kahan" on Netflix isn't just a coming-of-age film - it's a mirror reflecting the complex struggles of young people today.
We see ourselves in their digital dependencies and their battles with denial and addiction. The film doesn't shy away from the harsh realities of cyberbullying, substance abuse, and the crippling lack of genuine human connection.
But "Kho Gaye Hum Kahan" isn't just bleak.
It offers a hopeful message. It whispers, "You're not alone."
It shows the transformative power of professional help, the solace found in a supportive "tribe" of friends. This resonated deeply with me and with the vision behind Mindei.
At Mindei, I am building a safe space for young minds to navigate the often-turbulent waters of mental health. My team and I believe in accessible, inclusive mental health support, in fostering communities of support, and in empowering young people to find their voices.
If you're a young person navigating your mental health journey, remember: you're not alone.
So tell us, what hit you the most in "Kho Gaye Hum Kahan"?
Did it resonate with your own experiences?
And how can we, as a community, build a brighter future for young minds?
PS: If you're curious about your mental health, and want to "test" it out, check out MindVoice: the link is in the comment!

Good morning, LinkedIn Family! I hope this post finds you rested, rejuvenated, and ready to take on the world.
🌟 Increasing Awareness for Youth Mental Health 🌟
Did you know that mental health issues can affect young people just as much as adults? It's time we shine a spotlight on the importance of youth mental health and work together to create a supportive environment for our future leaders.
💡 Understanding the Challenges. The pressures and challenges faced by today's youth are immense. Academic stress, social media comparisons, bullying, and uncertainty about the future can take a toll on their mental well-being. By raising awareness, we can help foster a supportive community that understands and addresses these issues.
💙 Breaking the Stigma. One of the key obstacles to seeking help is the stigma surrounding mental health. We need to change the narrative and create an open dialogue that encourages young people to speak up, seek support, and break free from the burden of silence. Let's empower them to embrace their mental health journeys.
🤝 Creating Supportive Environments Schools, communities, and workplaces all play a vital role in supporting youth mental health. It's crucial to provide resources, education, and accessible mental health services to young individuals. By fostering understanding and empathy, we can create environments where young people feel safe to express their emotions and seek help when needed.
Let's work together to foster a society where every young person feels seen, heard, and supported in their mental health journey. Together, we can make a positive impact on the lives of our youth. 🌟
