Hey there, LinkedIn! Starting a new position, especially when that entails managing a new team, is never easy. Earning the "Top Sales Manager" title on my first quarter, doesn't say much about myself, as it does for the culture at Reddit Ads, and how refreshing it is to be part of a workplace thriving on communication, understanding, and clear objectives. As a sidenote, as well as a reminder: every human relationship is flourishing on a basis of trust. It's always "I trust you, so show me I'm right to do so", as opposed to "I don't trust you, so earn my trust". Once you put trust in your team, and treat them as humans, rather than numbers or kids that need to be supervised at all times, things can only get better.

How to make more money: - Take screenshots when you receive positive feedback. - Keep a list of all of your accomplishments. And not just what you did but the actual business impact. - Forge cross-departmental partnerships so you have more than just your boss advocating for you. - Be great at internally communicating your projects and accomplishments. - Do things that make your coworkers look amazing. - Work in public, i.e. post your strategies and wins right here on LinkedIn. Who knows who's watching. - Make friends with people who have the job you want. What am I missing?

My biggest pet peeves about recruiters on Linkedin 1) Sending a connection request without any prior interaction or a message. 2) Sending me a message with a vague JD and making me pull info from you. The message should include the pay rate, the location (if it's remote or not), and specific role requirements. (i.e. this role requires previous Meta experience). I know you have that information; please don't make me ask for it. Let's make the job search process easier and more efficient for everyone.
