🧩Day 3: Time Conversion 🧩 📝 The challenge: Given a time in 12-hour AM/PM format, convert it to military (24-hour) time. The function would take a string as an input and return a string as an output. 🛠️ My approach: I split the string into the time and am_pm components. The Military Libraries Virtual Training Summit Schedule at a Glance is now available and is attached to this post. Register today at https://lnkd.in/gSAZ664W for the 2023 Military Libraries Virtual Training Summit, presented by the Army Library Program and the Military Libraries Community of the Special Libraries Association! Library leaders from across the Department of Defense and the Special Libraries Association have teamed up to create an exciting programming and event agenda focusing on the theme "Libraries at an Inflection Point: Transforming Services for Tomorrow's Military." The dates of the Summit are 11 September 2023 (pre-summit IT workshops and IT trouble-shooting); 12-15 September 2023 (seminars, panels, workshops, etc.) The event will be delivered online via Microsoft Teams. The Summit is free and open to all library (and other) personnel at all levels. Decisions drive Army operations and battlefield success. Developing and implementing better decision support systems to maximize leader decision-making is fundamental to the Army of 2040 and beyond. Looking forward to prototyping, experimenting, and being part of decision-support community. "Combat Capabilities Development Command and Army Futures Command headquarters are "going to start to turn up the volume on new S&T initiatives that they're going to be working on to evaluate or reevaluate what command and control needs to look like in the future within that large-scale combat operations context," he said. "What does that next-generation C2 capability to be? That's going to involve some prototyping, it's going to involve some experimentation, industry outreach, user feedback, all of that."

What it's like to launch a tech product - 21 days to go live. How did we decide on what to build? It took 12 months and 1000s of conversations to land on our first iteration. I wanted to really understand the challenges on both sides. Here are some of the key problems we're setting out to solve: - Unconscious Bias - The subjectivity of a CV - The challenge with over choice - A lack of understanding of military skills. Beta launch in July is V1 of where we see the product going in the future. We've factored in one-month development sprints after the launch (they call it an agile approach 😉). All so we can gather feedback from veterans and employers and continue to improve the product over time.
