Biases and inequities continue to be embedded in computational systems, having an out-sized impact on marginalized communities. To address this issue, Mozilla's #ResponsibleComputingChallenge (RCC), with support from USAID, will award up to $192,000 USD (~R3.6 million ZAR) total, across South African universities to design, pilot, or scale promising approaches that empower graduating technologists to build a healthier internet locally and globally.
