Did you know that in 2021, Dr. Martens created and funded a charity called The Dr. Martens Foundation? For International Women's Month celebrations, we were joined by Rosie Oglesby, Charity CEO of Luminary Bakery, a Dr. Martens Foundation partner. Rosie shared more on Luminary's mission to offer women experiencing social and economic disadvantage opportunities to build a future for themselves, and how they supported 105 women last year! Rosie left us all feeling inspired, and in the words of a team member who attended: 'The Luminary Bakery event was excellent - it's so nice to hear from our charity partners and I think we should do more of it. It was a really inspiring and informative talk (plus lunch was delicious - thank you!)' This was a fantastic and insightful event, I was really glad I was able to attend and hear first hand the great work The Luminary Bakery are doing. Thank you 🙏🏻 💛🖤

2moNice initiative; however, the brand should start by addressing the hundreds of people who lost their jobs after the brand decided to abruptly leave Latin America. In countries like Colombia, single mothers, students, and all of us were left without salaries, legal benefits, or severance pay. Sometimes, the best actions start from within the household. To address the social opportunities for women to forge their futures, Dr. Martens need to consider how its decisions will impact women’s works life.
